1996_12_01_belov_konyagin: The 1996 Izvestiya paper of Belov and Konyagin proving log f(n) << (log n)^4 for the least maximum modulus of an Erdős–Szekeres product, which answers no to the question whether log f(n) >> n^c for some c > 0.
