2019_12_02_he_ma_yang: He, Ma and Yang (J. Combin. Theory Ser. B 2021) prove that for large even q every graph on q^2+q+1 vertices with q(q+1)^2/2+1 edges has at least q-1 four-cycles, the conjecture at those orders when q is a power of two.
